Acceptance of terms
Agreement
By creating an account or using Guify in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Guify. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan users.
Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Guify. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
The service
What Guify provides
Guify is a config-driven OS-style website builder. We allow you to create, customise, and publish static websites using our OS-inspired templates. We host your published sites on our infrastructure via AWS CloudFront.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We will notify users of planned maintenance where possible.
Changes to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Guify at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes that affect paid users.
Your account
Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Guify is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised access due to your failure to keep your credentials secure.
Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep it updated.
One account per person
Each account is for a single individual or organisation. You may not share accounts or create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.
Acceptable use
Permitted use
You may use Guify to build and publish websites for lawful personal, portfolio, business, or commercial purposes.
Prohibited content
You may not use Guify to publish or distribute: illegal content, malware or phishing pages, spam, hate speech or content that promotes violence or discrimination, content that infringes third-party intellectual property, adult content without appropriate age verification, or any content that violates applicable laws.
Platform integrity
You may not attempt to: reverse-engineer or scrape Guify, overload our infrastructure, bypass plan limits, or interfere with other users' sites or data.
Consequences
Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
Plans and billing
Free plan
The Starter plan is free and does not require a credit card. It includes 1 website, a public URL, free SSL, and up to 3 builds per month.
Paid plans
Paid plans (Hobbyist $6/mo, Creator $15/mo, Pro $39/mo) are billed monthly in advance via Polar. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method each billing cycle.
Plan changes
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times over 7 days. If payment is not recovered, your account will be downgraded to the free Starter plan.
Intellectual property
Your content
You retain full ownership of the content you create and publish using Guify. By using the service, you grant Guify a limited licence to host, serve, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service.
Guify's IP
The Guify platform, templates, code, branding, and all related intellectual property belong to Guify. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our templates or platform code.
Watermark
Free and Hobbyist plan sites include a small Guify watermark. Removing the watermark without a qualifying plan is not permitted.
Termination
By you - account deletion
Account deletion is not available through the dashboard interface. To delete your account, email us at hello@guify.site with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request' from your registered email address. Upon confirmation, your sites will be taken offline and your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
By you - individual site deletion
You can delete any individual site from your dashboard at any time. When you initiate a site deletion, Guify will present a confirmation prompt clearly stating that the action is permanent and irreversible. Upon your explicit confirmation, we immediately and permanently hard delete all associated data - including your site configuration, build history, published files, and hosted content from our CDN (AWS CloudFront) and storage. There is no recovery or grace period once you confirm deletion. Please ensure you have saved any content you wish to keep before proceeding.
By Guify
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the platform. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.
Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
Disclaimers and liability
As-is service
Guify is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guify's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Guify from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
Governing law
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Guify after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
