Publishing your first site

- 2Pick an OS template - Mac OS Tahoe is available now
- 3Customize your content, theme, and settings from the dashboard
- 4Click Publish - your site goes live in under 2 minutes
- 5Share your public URL or connect a custom domain (Creator plan+)
Connecting a custom domain
- 1Upgrade to the Creator ($15/mo) or Pro ($39/mo) plan
- 2Go to your site settings and click 'Custom Domain'
- 3Enter your domain name (e.g. yourname.com)
- 4Add the provided DNS records at your domain registrar
- 5DNS propagation takes 10–60 minutes. SSL is applied automatically.
SSL certificates
- 1SSL is included on every plan - including the free Starter plan
- 2No setup required. Your certificate is provisioned automatically on publish
- 3Certificates auto-renew before expiry - you never need to manage them
- 4SSL also applies to custom domains once DNS is connected
Upgrading or changing your plan
- 1Go to your account settings page and click 'Billing'
- 2Select the plan you want to switch to
- 3Upgrades take effect immediately
- 4Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- 5You can cancel anytime - no fees
Deleting a site
- 1Go to your created website and open the site you want to delete
- 2Click the trash button on top of the page
- 3A confirmation prompt will appear - read it carefully
- 4After you confirm, the site and all its data are permanently hard deleted
- 5This includes your config, build history, and hosted files. There is no undo.
Deleting your account
- 1Account deletion is not available through the dashboard interface
- 2Email us at hello@guify.site with the subject 'Account Deletion Request'
- 3Send from your registered email address
- 4We will confirm and permanently delete all your data within 30 days
Frequently asked questions
Why is my site not updating after I publish?
CDN propagation can take up to 5 minutes. Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R) and wait a moment. If it still hasn't updated after 10 minutes, contact us.
I've run out of builds for the month. What happens?
Your existing published site stays live - you just can't trigger new builds until your cycle resets or you upgrade to a higher plan.
Can I have multiple sites on the free plan?
The Starter plan supports 1 site. Upgrade to Hobbyist ($6/mo) for 2 sites, Creator ($15/mo) for 5, or Pro ($39/mo) for unlimited.
My custom domain isn't working after connecting it.
DNS changes can take up to 60 minutes to propagate. Double-check that you've added the correct records at your registrar. If it's been over an hour, email us with your domain name.
How do I remove the Guify watermark?
The watermark can be removed on Hobbyist ($6/mo) and above by using the toggle button under the apperance section of each site settins page. Upgrade your plan from the billing section of your settings page.
Can I transfer a site to another account?
Not currently via the dashboard. Email us and we can handle transfers manually.
Is my site still live if I downgrade to the free plan?
Yes. Your site stays live but reverts to the Starter plan limits - 1 site, public URL, with the Guify watermark re-applied if you had it removed.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Use the 'Forgot password' link on the sign-in page. If you're still having trouble, email us.
